photo showing a WisMesh Meshtastic node; just a flat rectangle of plastic with a US quarter dollar coin for scale

Now that my Meshtastic network is growing, I find that I miss being able to access it when I’m traveling. To try to remedy this problem, I got a portable node. It is essentially the same thing as the autonomous relay but without the solar panel and superfluous spotlight, and wrapped in a much smaller package. It monitors the Meshtastic network in its vicinity and connects via Bluetooth Low Energy to my phone. It’s supposed to run several days on a charge.

Now to build up the mesh network to where it’s robust enough to offer consistent connections.
