It’s raining again. Or it’s raining still. We’ve had a couple of mostly dry days in the last week, but it has rained at least a tiny bit every day since early April. Today it has rained 1.15” so far. For the year, my weather station reports 148.44 inches, but during one of our worst downpours the gauge clogged and, according to the neighbors, we missed about ten inches. So we’re approaching 160” for the year. Average, I believe, is 70-100 inches.
This time last year we were praying for rain as we had only received 18 inches for the year. So the extra water has been nice, even though it’s played hell with our solar generation levels (mostly meaning we’ve had to burn gasoline if we wanted to be able to use Joulee the Free Salvage Tesla or the hot tub) and it killed off our tomatoes and some of HA’s new protea plants.
I need to drain and re-level the catchment tank, so I anticipate the rain will stop completely once the tank is empty.
