It’s one of the most beautiful places on the planet, with a tragic history. It’s a short drive from the compound and we visit often. Camping permits for residents are really cheap, and it’s always a joy to be there.

I left early this morning to Sherpa the camping gear and Luna the Big Dog™ back to the compound where I could feed the chickens while the rest went on to visit Hawai’i Tropical Botanical Garden.
