Apparently, the CERT training took a much bigger toll than I realized. I’ve hardly been able to get out of bed the last two days from my back pain. I don’t recall straining my back, but now it’s extraordinarily painful to bend over. Even a little. Ugh.

In spite of that, there is something that I have been putting off since we re-wired the house last March. I had purchased indoor electrical service panels for the studio and the house. At the time, I was planning on putting them on interior walls. When it came time to actually install them, though, I realized that they would work a lot better outdoors. It wasn’t too big a deal down at the studio, as we were also putting the inverter outside so I’d need to cover everything anyway. At the house, though, it just seemed as though I could never find the time to enclose the panel. I had finally settled on this week, do-or-die.

When I tried to get out of bed Tuesday, it seemed as though I had chosen “die.” The pain in my back was excruciating. Nonetheless, the Hand and I tackled the problem anyway. We still need to install a little roofing material over the cover, but it’s good to know that the panel will be protected from rain (if we ever get any).
