The generator house is in place. Today was a sunny who-needs-a-generator day, so I took the opportunity to put a coat of primer on it while the Hired Hand is finishing painting the studio in Twoprops Compound Red. If the weather holds tomorrow, he’ll put some red on the generator house as a finishes the studio.

In the mean time, we got some good news! The last of the six places or so that Generac said would provide warranty service actually called back, and seemed happy to do the work once I get the warranty registered. Yay! I described to them some of the hassles I’ve had getting anyone to even talk to me, and they said that they’re the only place on the entire island that actually does the warranty repairs. So it’s a positive development, both in that we might well finally get our electric starter and it bodes well going forward for any repairs the generator might need in the future.

It’s over an hour drive away, but it’s in a very nice and remote part of the island where we’re actually going on Friday anyway, so I can possibly drop it off or they might be covered to come work on it in the field. Progress!
