Tomatoes grow really well in the Sacramento Valley. There really was no reason that we couldn’t have awesome tomatoes during the season, and the season was long.
We haven’t had the same kind of luck since moving to the island, up on the mountain. I suspect it just doesn’t get hot enough, or it’s too humid. Last month, one of our next door neighbors offered us a couple of seedlings that he said were varieties that did well here. So far, it’s looking good.
