I was late feeding the chickens this morning. Sorry, chickens. It was almost 10:00am when I got to it, and there were already two eggs laid. One of them was huge.
We have one hen who lays green eggs. She was the first to lay, and her eggs are consistently larger than all the rest, who lay brown eggs that are small to medium in size. Today’s egg was positively massive, however. It won’t even fit in a standard egg punnet. It must have been a major endeavor to lay it! I hope she’s recovering.
I’ll update it when it’s time to crack it open. Three yolks, perhaps?
