HA was out of town last night, on a trip to pick up our chicks. I woke up about 04:30 this morning, realized that the hot tub was still 103°F, the sky was clear, and I should be able to see the tail end of they Lyrid meteor shower.

The seeing was amazing. It’s so dark out here in a rural area on an isolated Pacific island. To lie in the quiet in a pool of hot water and recline and just watch the sky was amazing. I could see many satellites, and it’s always a wonder to me to think that there was only one satellite (the moon) orbiting Earth when I was born. More stars than I could count. The Milky Way. And, yes, a handful of shooting stars.
