We do love our outdoor shower. It used to seem very, very private as the jungle between the shower and our neighbors’ driveways was pretty overgrown, and the view out to the pasture was just… pasture. Mostly the shower opens on to a very pleasant little garden and is shielded by the Portuguese bread oven.

HA has been thinning a lot of the jungle, and it’s made the view from, say, the kitchen window dramatically better.

It was still fairly private, and will be moreso as the lower-profile plants HA has planted grow in, but the view out to the pasture was so nice that it became the place where it made the most sense to put the pavilion. You can still see the pasture from the shower, but you can also look into the shower from the pavilion. I think that might make some guests uncomfortable. I figured out a way to put up shades that will mostly be out of the way when we’re not using them.
