We’ve been watching a Pacific disturbance which has now become a category 1 hurricane, Lala. Current projections put the storm passing just to the south of our south coast but with major impacts to the entire island.

We’ve filled our gas cans, double-checked our drinking water reserves, and tested our generators. We have a bit of food put away. I’ll be monitoring the GMRS radio frequencies (simplex and our neighborhood repeater) to be ready if we lose communications. I think we are as ready as we can be.
