Yesterday, a dear friend — Queen B — was found unresponsive in her home by a visitor. Per her wishes, she is currently in hospice care at home. HA immediately went to her and is now at her side; I will soon go to join her circle of family and friends to help out.
B was instrumental in helping us move to the island. She has lived a remarkable life, and is a wonderful, wise, and giving person with a gift for decorative horticulture and talk story, along with being an accomplished baker and cook. Whatever her future holds, HA and I are honored to be counted among the remarkable people who are her friends.
