Nolo stalled south of us for a while, dumped about 11” of rain and wind gusts up to 15 mph, but otherwise left us alone. It’s now a Category 4 major hurricane, but heading west far away from the islands. In its wake, we had a perfect day.
The sun shone brightly, which made it easy to undo our storm preparations. I was able to raise my meshtastic node back to full height. Luna the Big Dog™ got a nice, dry walk. We got our lava rock front walk pressure washed (thanks, C!). HA and L did a bunch of string trimming so we can get between structures without wading through ankle-deep grass (now if only Satan’s Own Mower was working). I did mold remediation in my office — alas, an indoor task — but I got to spend plenty of time outdoors reversing the storm prep.
Joulee the Free Salvage Tesla got a good solar charge up to 56% (highest in months, I think). The hot tub is nice and hot and the tire is removed. The chicken coop still seems to be mongoose-free.
Another perfect day in paradise.
