I’ve been following JA Westenberg ever since I read the noble path last month. She has a lot to say, and when she says it she does so with thought and consideration.

Since retirement, I’ve noticed how much happier I am since I started eliminating notifications from my life. I started getting notifications earlier than most, when I wrote an appointment/calendar application for a timeshared PDP/8 at my high school (early 1970’s). I’ve been stingy with them, always turning off notifications whenever I install software or subscribe to a service. But I was impressed with how common they’d become. I continue to be surprised by how much better my life is without them.
