We have mainland guests at the island compound this week. They went out sightseeing with HA. While they were away, the folks from whom we got the sheep came for a scheduled visit to see how they were doing and to trim Vinda’s hooves. Apparently, some sheep need this occasionally when they travel mostly on soft ground.
It was interesting to watch them work. J (with the clippers) is a native islander and knew some things about the style of house we have and the identities of a lot of the trees. He also offered to show me how to process coffee. R (seated) raised the flock from which Vinda and Lu came, and she said they looked quite healthy and happy. I hope this means we’re doing things right.
