I have found a new, narcissistic way to waste time. I’ve found that it’s fun to use the “random” link on twoprops.net and look at an old column or three. There are enough of them — about 680 at last count — that they don’t get repetitive even though I wrote them. What’s interesting, though, is that I regularly find typos. Not too often, but still too many considering that I proofread each column before publication, on the site immediately after publication, and then hours later when they show up in syndication via RSS or on Mastodon. It’s humbling to see how often little typos slip through in spite of my pickiness and attention.
