J is now moved into his dorm room. M has an apartment in LA, but he’s staying with his mom and doesn’t go back until next month. HA’s offspring are moving out today!
It’s peak chaos here today, but I’m sure tomorrow the house will seem big, quiet, and empty. Then in rapid-fire succession I’ll see my doctor and learn the results of the surgery, then get on a plane for the island, then HA will keep organizing and take Luna to the airport here, then I’ll pick up Luna on the island, then HA will supervise the container packing and moving, then the cleaning, repairs, and staging of the house. Then we’ll turn it over to the real estate agent for marketing and HA will join Luna and me on the island for our happily-ever-after retirement.
I can’t believe we made it this far. I can’t believe how much there still is to do.
