I’m up to my eyeballs in moving/packing tasks. What kept me awake last night was the realization that, though I had done a bunch of complex machinations to make my mailserver portable across domains, I hadn’t tested it. I learned a hard lesson about doing networking troubleshooting on an isolated island, so today I shut down the mail server, moved it to a brand-new network (behind NAT and without any port forwarding). It fired up and ran, as simple as plugging in the Ethernet and power.
Whew!
