My new island-grown sourdough starter was finally ready today, so I baked a loaf of Queen B bread with it.
The starter is definitely different from Carl’s. It’s tangier, with just a hint of bitterness. I like it so far. HA hasn’t tasted it yet; we’ll see what she thinks.
I was also a bit impatient. I think Queen B bread is really better if it rises overnight when using sourdough starter instead of yeast.
