I’ve missed our landscape lighting ever since I gave away the old solar plant. I did revive the shower lighting, but the rest of the outside of the house is quite dark at night. I needed a flashlight to get to and from the shower, and now that we have some electric power to spare I wanted to light up the beautiful work that HA — and Rob before her — have done in our garden. Today I installed new outdoor lights, and I love the look. I added new lights to the front of the house, and replaced the ones on the path leading to the shower (though I think I need at least one more — there’s a rather dark stretch of path).
I know it’s not a priority when we still don’t have water and electricity to the garage or stepping stones out to the studio or a deck for the hot tub or a fully wired home or any food plants growing — but it was a one-day project that will make me happy whenever the sun goes down.
