photo from the outside of the pavilion at night, with a string of LED holiday lights illuminating the inside along the ceiling

When the great Get Joulee Into the Garage project stalled due to a dead dryer, I found myself with some unexpected free time. HA had suggested putting string lights in the pavilion, so I thought I’d see if I had a string of white LED holiday lights. I did, exactly where they were supposed to be in the garage. There currently isn’t power in the pavilion, but we still have the power station that got us through before we had the new solar plant.

I put up the lights (using zip ties) and plugged into the power station. It’s hard to say if it will be bright enough. It’s a nice illumination level for sitting around chatting, but we wouldn’t be able to do anything that involved reading. Not bright enough for card games, for example.

The photos were taken in night mode, which makes the illumination appear much brighter than it seems IRL.
