When we moved to this house, there was a little peach tree in the back yard. It was barely more than a couple of pencil-width sticks in the ground with a dozen or so leaves. Remarkably, two peaches grew on it in spite of the fact that it was in a shady location. A critter got one of them, and the other one wasn’t very good.

Holly Ann decided to transplant it into the front yard, where it would get full sun. I didn’t expect it to survive, especially after it developed a fungal blight. But here it is, a couple of years later, in all its blossoming glory. It’s growing fast, and produces tasty fruit.
